Our Story: From Physical Therapists to Home Care Owners

For more than 20 years each, we had the privilege of serving patients throughout the Lehigh Valley as physical therapists. Whether in hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, or patients’ homes, our passion was always the same—helping people regain their independence and return home safely.

But over the years, we noticed something.

We could spend an hour helping someone recover after surgery, improve their balance, or regain strength after an illness. Then we’d leave, knowing many still needed help with everyday life—preparing meals, grocery shopping, changing bed linens, getting to appointments, or simply having someone there to offer companionship and reassurance.

We realized that helping someone heal physically was only part of helping them stay independent.

Life eventually took us in a different direction, and we both transitioned into careers in IT consulting and compliance. After an unexpected company-wide layoff, we found ourselves asking an important question:

How could we continue making a difference?

The answer brought us back to where our hearts had always been.

Earlier this year, we founded American Angels Home Care, a locally owned and Pennsylvania-licensed non-medical home care agency serving seniors and families throughout the Lehigh Valley.

Our mission is simple: help older adults remain safe, independent, and engaged in the lives they love. We also support individuals recovering from surgery, hospitalization, or illness who don’t necessarily need more medical care—they simply need an extra set of hands while they regain their confidence.

One of our very first clients reminded us exactly why we started this journey.

Judy lost a leg as a teenager but never let it define her. One of her biggest goals was getting back into her swimming pool safely. With encouragement, support, and someone by her side, she accomplished that goal. Watching her smile from the pool deck reminded us that home care isn’t just about helping with daily tasks—it’s about helping people continue living the life they love.

As lifelong Lehigh Valley residents and graduates of Southern Lehigh High School, we’re grateful to continue serving the community that has given us so much.

Thank you for trusting us to care for your loved ones. We’re honored to be part of your family’s journey.
